Back tracking a little- Emmett had his 3rd birthday on December 23. What a fun time this year because he has been REALLY into BIRTHDAYS. Any candle lit in the house- he would ask- "is that my birthday candle?" then he would blow it out, because of course it was... (Even in October.) So, with the big day approaching there was much excitement. Emmett's playgroup was the Wednesday before his big day, so I took advantage and thre a little party. Cupcakes with candles for everyone to blow out, a little something for everyone to open... It wasn't much but when you're 3, that's the important stuff!
On Sunday, it was Emmett's actual birthday. He was so excited to tell everyone in nursery!!! He said when his teacher asked whose birthday we're celebrating, he said MINE!!! But his teacher said no Emmett, it's Jesus's birthday. He was a little disappointed. After church we had another little birthday celebration for Emmett- Alexa and Andrew hung streamers and blew up balloons. (All we had were waterballoons... How many did you guys manage to blow up any way? It seemed like a ton!) Emmett helped mom make FUNFETTI cake- the Lego guys added to it at the end were a happy surprise. And the Wilson's came by for the festivities. "DAVIDDDD! You're my best friend." -Emmett
What a fun afternoon. Then Emmett said ok, now it's Jesus's turn.
