Yes, it had been forcasted by the meteorologists, but children across Texas have had their hearts broken too often to fall for those empty promises... A snow day- we'd have to see it to believe it!
But there it was- beautiful and deep (for Texas)- not the typical "Texas snow" that is usually a sheet of ice that covers everything- Real Snow!!!
A 2 hour school delay! Time for snowballs and a mini snowman, and warming up with hot chocolate.
By afternoon it was in the 60's and all the snow was gone but a few snowmen... Emmett threw the last of our snow creature against the van... A fun new game with snowballs he learned today.
Sally came out and played with Emmett and held Olivia while I got to go for a birthday lunch and a quick trip to the grocery store. It was wonderful to get out of the house!!!Happy Birthday ME!
